YUPVacation: Allure of the Seas

Y.U.P Lifestyle
______

After a week long hiatus I am back and ready to blog!

Last week, my family and I went on a cruise to the Caribbean. Being on the largest ship in the world and in the middle of the ocean made it the most relaxing vacations I've ever had. No internet, no cell phone service, no e-mails!! It was pure relaxation. Although, I have to admit, I was having blogging and Instagramming withdrawals.

Allure of the Seas is currently Royal Caribbean's newest ship, exploring the wonderful islands of the Caribbean. This trip, we visited three islands: Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. What was amazing was the countless amenities the ship had to offer. They had everything from a Broadway play, to outdoor activities (surfing, rock climbing, zip lining), to having an actually boardwalk with a carousel. You'll even see your favorite DreamWorks characters hanging out on the boat! If you've never been on a cruise before, I highly recommend booking one ASAP!

Check out a few pictures that highlighted my vacation on Royal Caribbean: Allure of the Seas.

Fort Lauderdale, FL

Before we boarded the ship, we spent a day in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I'm not too sure if I'm used to the busyness of N.Y but Fort Lauderdale was literally a ghost town! Fort Lauderdalians, what is there to do in your city?!

Boarding the ship

I didn't feel too far away from home since there was a Central Park on the ship. Carrying the same attributes as the iconic park in NY, Central Park is a meandering garden lined with shops and fine restaurants, located in the center of the ship.

Side note: Most ridiculous question asked on the ship "Has anyone everyone been robbed in Royal Caribbean's Central Park?"

Spanning approximately three and half football fields long, the ship was filled with beautiful art pieces from all over the world. My favorite was the 34 handmade multi-colored, crystal beaded dresses that were suspended in the space between the elevators.

Fun fact: Did you know the average weight gain on a cruise ship is 7 lbs?!

The Royal Caribbean serves a wide variety of food in a "never-ending" buffet for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks throughout the day.  Did I mention that almost all of the food on the ship is free and available 24/7?

First Stop: Nassau, Bahamas

Second Stop: St. Thomas, U.S Virgin Islands

Thank god for our Filipino waiters! They hooked it up with Filipino food: Adobo and Crispy Pata. I loved the food on the cruise ship but I definitely needed some good ol' greasy Filipino cuisine!

Third Stop: St. Maarten

Tip: Make sure to leave your sunglasses behind so they can make cool towel animals

Formal Night

Hope you all enjoyed my short but sweet summary of the ultimate YUPVacation. Sad to leave paradise but it feels good to be back and blogging!
