This deserves a round of applause (insert clapping emoji)!
Zac Posen’s F/W ’16 runway show was stunning, beautiful, and powerful. The collection, the muse, the models, and the message made for one unforgettable moment that stole the spotlight at NYFW. In an industry that consist of white models, Posen made an important statement by casting 40 models of color out of 46 to portray his collection.
Inspired by Princess Elizabeth of Toro — first East African woman to be admitted to the English Bar, became a successful model, and foreign minister — Posen wanted his collection to represent intelligent women that aren’t only represented by an overt sexuality.
